Problem with auto brightness in Dell latitude e6410

Windows 7 professional is installed in my dell latitude e6410.

I searched net to switch off auto  brightness feature and found to turn off "Enable Adaptive Power" option under display option (control pannel>hardware and sound>power option> change plan settings and scroll to display).

But this option does not exists under display option.

There is light sensor and it adjusts light much dim as required and i had to keep a light on permanently in front of my laptop to keep its brightness more.

Please help to turn this irritating auto brightness option.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

One of the possible reasons why you're unable to see Enable Adaptive Power as an option is when a light sensor is not installed on your computer or the device doesn't support it. To check if your device supports adaptive brightness, click the Start button, type Location and Other Sensors and then press Enter.

We're looking forward to your response.

Thanks for your feedback.

It has light sensor, also I had mentioned it before.

Well, my problem is solved!!!

In dell, automatic brightness adjustment is switched off by another way and the shortcut is Fn + left arrow.

Thank you for your concern and reply.
