My wife just bought a new Windows 10 laptop. I installed our Brother HL-L2360D monotone laser printer using the Windows driver. Everything prints reverse (negative) image, that is, everything that ought to be white is black and everything that ought to
be black is white. When I downloaded and installed the Brother driver we can get it to print correctly by checking the "reverse print" box in the printer properties window. I conclude from this that there is a setting somewhere in Windows that is set improperly,
but I have looked through all the "settings" and "properties" options I can find in Windows and I cannot find any that even mention reverse printing or negative printing. Any help would be appreciated.
I had the exact same issue with a Brother MFC-L2700DW with the default Windows driver.
I also then installed the Brother drivers directly from support.brother.com, but the Windows version of the printer was still in Printers & scanners. So when I re-tested I got the same results. I had to delete the Windows installed version of the printer.
So you may want to make sure and delete the printer from Windows and make sure that the installed Brother driver is in fact driving the printer you are selecting.
