Printing multiple docs - batch printing - bulk printing jobs

Hi there,

I routinely have dozens of pdfs or jpgs to print - instead of going in and opening each individual page and printing from "inside" the doc, how can I mass print them all without opening them?

I have tried to do this following tutorials online, e.g:

1. Mass select then right-click (doesn't work, option not available)

2. Selecting up to 15 files of the same type (i.e. all pdfs) and then drag and drop directly into printer queue (doesn't work, displays error message)

That's what I've tried so far and it doesn't work.  I am using Windows 8.

Any advice?

Hello,

You may attempt to print multiple files by selecting the files that you want to print and then pressing Ctrl + P simultaneously on your keyboard.

If you have further questions, feel free to ask us.

Regards.

Hi, sorry, this is not working.

I suspect that another more heavy-duty option may need to be explored!

Can anyone help?

It really is very frustrating to have to open each file individually.  They are all of the same exact file type - PDF.  there should be no differences that prevent a bulk print job i.e. drag and drop into the printer active window thingy from printing them in bulk (also keeping files to a number below 15 for example doesn't work).

I am perplexed.  Poor show if there's not another way, really.  Not impressed.

Hi,

To enable drag and drop printing, you need to create a shortcut to the printer on  your desktop.

To work around this limitation, you can print each file type separately. For example, to print the PDF files in a folder:

  1. Type *.PDF in the Search box at the upper right.
  2.  For 1-15 files, press CTRL+A to select all of them.
  3.  For 16 or more files, select 15 of them (click the first, SHIFT+click the last).
  4.  Right-click any file and click Print.
  5.  Repeat steps 3-4 as required.

Update us with the results.

This simply does not work.

I have carried out all steps exactly as you advise but it will not give any option to print.

Can you explain how to use the shortcut to printer/desktop option?

Is there any other way at all that will work as I have literally hundreds and hundreds of documents over the next lord knows how long and it will drive me mental.  I do not have the time for this.

Hello,

May we know if you are opening and printing your PDF files through a third-party app?

In dragging and dropping the files to the print queue, what error message is displayed?

You may create a shortcut for the Print Queue by following the steps below:

  1. Open the Control Panel, then click on Devices and Printers.
  2. Under the Printers section, right-click on a printer, and click Create shortcut.
  3. A print queue shortcut for this specific printer will now be created on your desktop.

We look forward to an update from you.

Regards.

I've done all this, create a shortcut, etc., but it still doesn't work!

In relation to an error message, there used to be an error message - I can't remember which one, sorry - but now nothing is displayed, it just doesn't work; no error messages, it simply just won't do anything.

I'm not using any apps or anything, just trying to do it through Windows.

If I right-click and look for the option to "print" this isn't available to me.

This is really, really frustrating.  There MUST be a way to do this!

HELP!!!!

If there is an app available that would enable me to mass print I'd like to know - any apps available I could use?
