Print on both sides

Hi,

After upgrading to Windows11, my print settings no longer have a print on both sides option (double sided printing), and neither do I get any option to select Duplex under Preferences. I have read a few threads, and unable to find the answer to my issue. I was previously able to print double sided before on my HP printer under Windows10.

Please help.

Hi, from what app are you trying to print from?

Hi Terrence,
I am Sumit here to assist you with this question.

HP confirmed to another customer I was working with, that with Windows 11, it is not possible to print double sided yet.

See if reinstalling the printer helps in your case.

The first step would be to try reinstalling the Printer.

Right-click Start and select Run.

\In the Run dialog box, type in control printers and press OK.

Locate your printer in the Printers section, Right click it and select Remove device.

Restart your PC.

If you have a setup media of the Printer driver(This is usually a CD or Setup program supplied with the Printer), run the utility and let the Printer Install.

If you do not have a setup media, try adding a printer manually using "add a printer" button in the menu bar. It should automatically detect and Install the Printer.
After the Printer Installs, try printing a test page to see if it works as desired.
Retry the task again.

Hi

I would prefer if you can confirm whether reinstalling my printer can work first rather than I go through the trouble of trying.

Microsoft should work with HP on this. Otherwise I should reinstall Windows 10 instead where it works just fine before.

Here is the thread I was referring to:

You may try other ideas in the thread I gave as well.

If you are under the 10-day limit, you can trigger a rollback from Settings>System>Recovery>Go back to Windows 10.
