Possible account hack - Minecraft

Hi all,

I think that there is someone using my email to log into Minecraft.

I have just logged into Minecraft using a MS account (trying to fix a issue for a child - I don't play it myself) only to find a user name that I would never have chosen already exists for that login.

Is this the suspicious activity that it appears to be?

Hi, I am Van. I'll be glad to assist you today.

If you sign in your Microsoft account to Minecraft. The username of the character should be the same as your Gamertag. So if you detect suspicious activity on your account. I do advise you to immediately change the password of your account and add a recovery email or recovery cellphone number. So that person will not able to change your password in case he is trying to break in.
