Photos App Lock up importing from iphone 8

I used to import from my iphone on a regular basis.  Computer died and I upgraded to a new Dell gaming machine.

Now when I try and import from my phone or my wifes it finds X number of photos and locks up.

Restarted, re-installed the photo app.

When it locks it doesn't even show in the task manager but a couple of seconds after opening the manager photos app dissappears.

Thanks but, that has NOTHING to do with the problem.  The App is there with all of the pictures on the hard drive but will not sync with the phone as I described above.

The sync problem could be application specific and its function might not work.

Therefore, if you update it, this issue could be fixed.

You may also report this issue through Feedback Hub app.

Thought I put it in the original post.  I've already made sure that everything is up to date.  I reported it on the phone and the agent said it's been reported and they should be working on an update.  I doubt that because if you google the problem it's been around for a while.  My phone eventually worked but I still can't get my wifes to work.  Like most things Microsoft, it MAY get fixed some day

You should report it on Windows 10.

I am referring to updating apps and not Windows, I believe your Windows is already updated.

Not sure what you're saying.  First you say to report it in "Windows 10" when it's a problem with the app then you say the feedback hub app, I don't even know what that is.

Any chance there's somebody on here that knows what's going on?

Let me clarify, open start or Cortana and search for Feedback Hub and click on it and it will open this app.

Then you will see a form where you could report suggestion or bug, then click on bug and from menu select you have issue with Photo app and then write down all details and submit it as report. This app will collect log files and send them over so someone from Windows team could look into it.
