Hello, I am trying to share files from my laptop(windows 10) to my phone. But my phone is not showing up in the file manager. I have tried:
• using different USB cables
• using different USB ports
• using different phones
• USB debugging is already enabled in both of the phones
• Tried to update MTP drivers but they were already at their latest version.
• Tried uninstalling my phone from portable devices section in device manager. But nothing happens when I connect it back again.
• Tried updating drivers for my phone. But they were at their latest version.
• I have tried installing media feature pack and it worked for like a few seconds. I Everything was fine for a sew seconds, my phone appeared on the file manager. I went tho get another phone (because that's where I actually need to do the file transfer to. But when I came back I saw that the option to grant permission for file transfer in my phone, had disappeared .
Some things that I have to add is that when my phone connected to laptop using USB, the charging method shows up as cable charging instead of USB charging, in my phone. Also a USB flash drive works finely on my laptop.
Please tell me how to fix this issue.

What phone do you own? Are you able to use Phone Link?
Do you have and use One Drive? My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S20 5G and I use the Phone Link. I can view what I have on One Drive. See example image below. Click on, tap, or activate image to enlarge it.

Thank you for your suggestion, but I would like to transfer files using USB. I appreciate your help though.

Another suggestion. Does your laptop and phone both have Bluetooth? If yes, have you tried to transfer that way?
Example image.
You said, "when my phone connected to laptop using USB, the charging method shows up as cable charging instead of USB charging, in my phone". When you use your charging cable (USB) what do you plug into your laptop and what do you plug into your phone and what holds those two USB connectors together so your phone can be charged? If your phone is charging, then it's by USB cable.

My question, how many phones do you want to transfer the file to?
