Personalization Screenshow Setting

What happened to the ability to Randomize the Desktop Personalization Screen Show and set a 30 Second Refresh Rate?

And why doesn't the Lock Screen Slide Show work?

Randomize: It's not in that new Settings page yet.  (Insiders will note that it is back in the 10525 build. Woot!)

30 Seconds: It's not in that new Settings page.  Generally the new Settings page only includes the popular settings.  :\

Lock Screen Slides Show: You don't describe what's going wrong.  I believe the most common ailment (presuming that it's failing for all files and not just certain ones) is some sort of ACL issue on the lock screen slide show image files.  That'd potentially require debugging a system with that ailment to figure out what's going on there.

As re: the first two, you can get to the extended slideshow options using:

shell:::{ED834ED6-4B5A-4bfe-8F11-A626DCB6A921} -Microsoft.Personalization\pageWallpaper

from a WIN+R Run prompt.

PERFECT!! Thank you so much for that.  As for the LockScreen SlideShow, the problem is that I have picked the same slideshow folder that I use in my Personalized settings. I get one picture and that's it.  Anyway, the main thing was the extended settings for the Personalization Wallpaper and the solution you provided was exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you!!!

It looks like the advanced settings page has been replaced with the Standard options when I run control /name Microsoft.Personalization /page pageWallpaper in build 1703 and I don't have the options to reduce the sequencing of the image change below 1 minute again, either by running Personalization or the command.

What gives, and how do I change it now?

Yep, my advice from almost two years ago is obsolete.  Use exactly this now:

shell:::{ED834ED6-4B5A-4bfe-8F11-A626DCB6A921} -Microsoft.Personalization\pageWallpaper

from a Win+R (run) prompt.

I just wish that Microsoft would stop making an OS that is so difficult to use for the average Joe. Everything is so hidden. I mean whatever happened to Bill Gates statement, "640 kb ought to be enough for anybody!" (lol)

I spent most of the day yesterday searching the registry for the value.

Thanks, the answer (again) is perfect and exactly what I was looking for.
