PC will not detect Monitor

Issue: Monitors and PC are not detecting each other and it's on the PC side.

I have a new pc and was working great for a few days. Then 1 day when PC was in sleep mode and woken up it is not connecting with monitor. I checked all the cords and 2 different monitors with old and new PC. They both worked fine with the old PC but not new one. I unplugged everything for a couple of minutes and retested to no avail. Old pc is Windows 10 and new is Windows 11. I have an asus 650x motherboard with built in graphics and a 6800xt with both same thing of monitors not able to detect them.

Hi, I’m Nicole, an independent advisor and a Windows user like you. I’ll be happy to help you out today.

I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to assist you with this so that you find a satisfactory solution.

Do the PC doesn't detect the monitors starting from the boot process?

If yes, try to unplug the Graphics card then clean the gold contacts of the card with a pencil eraser then clean the PCIE slot before you put it back then boot the computer.

Unplug also the ram kits and do the same cleaning on the RAMS then put them back.

Thank you,

Nicole

Thank you very much for the advice, sadly it did not fix the issue, but I believe it helped narrow down the possible issues.
I have removed the graphics card and test just the integrated graphics and now monitor was registering. I cleaned the slots and put them in but still no detection. After that the ram and still no detection.
I believe it's either a bad PCI slot/motherboard or GPU or worst case both, currently I don't have the means to test them as my old motherboard will not support the GPU and the graphics card can't fit in another slot. I am not sure if RAM should be ruled out or not as still possible issue.
If there are any other possibilities or trouble shooting ideas, please let me know

My pleasure. You can still try to test the RAM just to be sure.

If you still have a warranty for both, I suggest claiming a warranty claim so you can still have a replacement for them.

Goodluck and regards,

Nicole
