PC will not accept my correct password, running Windows 7 Professional.

When I try to log onto my PC, I get the message "User name or password is incorrect."  I know the password is correct, as is the user name.  I do not have a password disc to run.  I do have my Windows 7 Professional backup disc.  It will not run.  I cannot get the PC into safe mode by using the F8 key as the computer starts up.  Can anyone help me please?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft community.

1.  I installed Kaspersky antivirus a couple of weeks ago.  Everything was fine.  At that time, BitDefender was uninstalled.

2.  There are no other user accounts.

1.  I installed a new antivirus, Kabersky, a couple of weeks ago.  Everything was fine then.  During that installation, BitDefender was uninstalled.

2.  There are no other user accounts.

New update:

We just ran a system restore in safe mode, back to a previous date that we were confident in.  We are not able to log in as in the past without changing anything else.  I have not shut down and tried to log back in.  If this problem persists, I'll be back!  Thank you.
