PC freezing and crashing while gaming

Hello, I have been playing (mainly) satisfactory and the game keeps freezing/stuttering when I alt tab multiple times quickly and sometimes while the game is autosaving.

I had chrome open on my second monitor with youtube playing.

I just got BSOD saying "critical_process_died"

I did /sfc scannnow in command prompt and received "windows resource protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them"

I am not sure what issue it could be it all seems completely random when it crashes, I have c-states disabled in my BIOS because I was told to try that.

I have included an event viewer log and minidumps:

The minidump files indicates that the cause of the BSOD is "nvlddmkm.sys" which is an NVIDIA driver.

Are you using an app like NVIDIA Broadcaster? If so, please uninstall and test to see if the problem occurs.

Also uninstall the current graphics card driver using DDU tool, go to the nvidia website and search for the driver before the last one released, download and install it.

Hello, thank you for your help!!

I used DDU to uninstall my GPU driver and installed the previous driver (566.03 game ready).

The only NVIDIA software I am using is the NVIDIA control panel and the new NVIDIA app. The DDU uninstalled the NVIDIA app, which I really only used to get updates and occasionally I used the overlay to show performance stats. Can I reinstall that app or should I avoid it?

Also I believe it reset my NVIDIA control panel settings, which I had only changed to use G-SYNC, can I set those settings back? (G-SYNC on, V-SYNC on, and low latency mode on ultra)

Thanks again!

Yes, you can use the Nvidia App or GeForce Experience again and set it up as it was before.

I recommend that you wait 7 days, normally the driver before the last one released is more stable.

Just crashed again, I was playing a game and randomly my entire PC froze for over a minute so I turned off one of my monitors, they both went black and my PC restarted. I included an event viewer log for 12_1 and the minidump 120124.

Only thing I have changed is two settings in NVIDIA control panel for g sync and changed the shader cache size to allow for 10 GB. I haven't updated the GPU driver.

I have an i5-13600K and I know there was an issue with the microcode but I have updated my BIOS with the fix to 0x12B. I don't know if there could be permanent damage, I thought it was the 13700K and 13900K having those issues mainly anyways.

About an hour later, the game just crashed after freezing with no warning and no error message, but the rest of my PC was fine and operational.

The minidump files do not indicate any driver or hardware causes, only memory corruption.

Go to the manufacturer's website, search for your system model, and download the recommended chipset drivers.

Also, disable any overclocking or XMP profiles if they are enabled.

Hello,

I installed the most recent chipset drivers from Intel's website (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19347/chipset-inf-utility.html)

I noticed in my bios the CPU Core Voltage was set to 1.200 instead of Auto, so I changed it to Auto. Do you think this could have been the issue?

I didn't turn off XMP and I don't think the CPU is being overclocked, but I don't know how to tell in MSI BIOS. I'd rather not turn them off, considering I paid for them to get the performance. But ultimately, if I have to turn them off for my PC to stop crashing, that's what I'll do.

Thanks!

If the problem persists, try resetting the BIOS settings to default.
