I had automatic updates on and Windows perform a quality update 01/16/25 for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64 based Systems (KB5049981). Additionally, there was also a Cumulative update for .NET framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64 based Systems (KB5050188). My computer automatically updated and restarted the computer. A few days later is when I noticed a blue screen stating the computer was not shut down correctly. I was able to get it to start but then it would restart on its own, sometimes back to back and other times after an hour or less. I tried command prompts and nothing worked.
My solution was to remove the Power SW and Reset cord from my mother board to see if the restart loop would stop and it did. Somehow the Windows update caused an issue that I did not have before. I plugged the Power SW back into the motherboard but left the Reset one off and so far I have no restart issues.
Hope this helps someone else and this was very frustrating. I hope a fix is coming soon.
