Outlook Express Identity Delete

I am trying to delete an identity on Outlook Express. The remove Identity button will not highlight when I attempt to delete the identity. How do I get the button to work? If this function will not work is thier anyother way I can delete the identity.

Hi kwjacq1,

To delete an Identity in Outlook Express, you have to have a secondary Identity already created. In addition, you must also be logged into the second account to be able to delete the primary account.

Try the following:
  1. From within Outlook Express, open the File menu, point to Identities, click Manage Identities, and then click New.
  2. In the Type your name box, type a name for the identity.
  3. Click OK. Click Yes to the pop-up to switch to the new identity now.
  4. Now open the Manage Identities windows again (Step 1), select your old account and click Remove.
This will, of course, delete anything within that Identity, including address book contacts and e-mails.
