Other Devices not showing in Device Manager for Windows 10.

If anyone could help me with this problem i would really appreciate it.

Hi Cody

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

This is normal, depending on the devices attached to your PC, the 'Other Devices' category will only show, if connected device(s) cannot be categorized into any of the other available device sections

Please explain what you are attempting to do, are you experiencing a problem with a device on your PC?

Thing is i was watching a tutorial on rooting a mobile device and the guy in the video went on to the device manager to see if the device is connected through an usb cable. I was a little confused on why there wasnt an option as Other Devices for me.

Hi CodyKD

In that video did that person install an Android ADB driver to root the phone, if so, that would appear in the Other Devices section, though I should warn you, I have bricked Windows a couple of times installing the Android ADB driver to root a phone . . .

Yes he did, i already rooted my phone and the computer seems to be fine. Thanks for warning me about that, i will use my older computer when rooting devices in the future to not risk the new one. And thanks again for the help.
