Nothing listed under "Turn Windows features on or off" Windows 10 Home Single Language

Hello,

I recently purchased a new Lenovo/AMD Laptop.

It came with Windows 10 Home Single Language.

I don't see anything or any feature listed under the "Turn Windows features on or off" in Program & Features Control Panel item.

In Windows 7 Home Edition, .net was not supported.

But this is NOT the case with Windows 10 Home is what I could search on internet.

Is this TRUE?

Also, please let me know how can I list various features in "Turn Windows features on or off"?

And, when I tried installing .NET 4.7 and 4.6.1, it says that the system already had latest .NET installed !!!!

Please also let me know, how do I install .NET latest version on my Windows 10 Home?

Regards,

Rakesh

You likely need to upgrade your installation of Windows 10.

Before you do that, try the following:

Try these first to see if they work:

Open Start, type: CMD
Right click CMD
Click Run as administrator

Type in at the prompt OR Copy and Paste these one at a time : (Hit enter after each)

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Also run the System File Checker utility:
Open Start, type: CMD
Right click CMD
Click Run as administrator

At the Command Prompt, type: sfc/scannow

This will check for any integrity violations

Restart your system

If that does not work, perform a repair upgrade:

We are volunteers willing to help you try to resolve this issue.

Since the computer is new and still under warranty please contact Lenovo Support and the seller. As OEM Lenovo is responsible for the proper operation of both the hardware and Windows. So regardless of the cause it is theirs to resolve. And the unit is under full warranty and may be in need of repairs or replacement. Added that even if you are able to resolve the issue you would want it fully documented just in case there are related problems down the road. Remember the more you do the more they will say it is something you have done.

==========

If I had ANY system or Windows problems I would be doing the above; My concern is the install of your Windows was an OEM special/customized version.

Windows Key + X - Command Prompt (Admin) OR Windows PowerShell (Admin)

(Run these one line at a time.)

SFC /scannow

Note if that shows uncorrected errors - continue regardless.

When that completes run these :

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

DISM /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth

DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Note if that shows any uncorrected errors - continue regardless.

Then restart the computer.

Please answer ALL of the following [admittedly tedious] diagnostic questions by number, preferably without quoting my post:

1a. When (approx. date) did you purchase the Lenovo computer?

1b. Where or from whom did you purchase the computer?

1c. Was the computer sold to you as a brand-new, never-been-used-by-anyone-else computer or as a used (refurbished) computer?

2. Has a Norton application or a McAfee application EVER been installed on the computer since you bought it?

3. Have you ever run the Norton Removal Tool and/or the McAfee Consumer Products Removal Tool?

4. Is Installed Updates (not Update History) also blank/empty?

5. What Version & OS Build of Windows 10 is currently installed?

• Press & hold the Windows Key and press the R key. In the RUN dialog, type WINVER and press the Enter key.

Marking one or more of my replies as ANSWER at any point will officially close (end) your thread, whether your problems have been resolved or not. HELPFUL votes very much appreciated at anytime. Thank you.
