No taskbar when "Second screen only" is selected

When using laptop with external monitor (thunderbolt) and only displaying desktop on external monitor the taskbar is missing when resuming from sleep. Taskbar appears when selecting "Duplicate" or "Extend" mode and then disappears again when "Second screen only" is selected.

Hello there! I am Charity, I'm an Independent Advisor. I'm glad to help you today!

My apologies about that. Please make all taskbars available on all displays, or make the 2nd monitor the main display.

Right-click on the taskbar and select Taskbar settings.

Scroll down to the Multiple displays section.

Toggle the switch next to Show taskbar on all displays to On.

Below that, there's an option for Show taskbar buttons on. Choose how you want taskbar buttons to appear:

All taskbars: Taskbar buttons will be shown on all monitors.

Main taskbar and taskbar where window is open: Buttons appear on the main monitor and the monitor where the window is active.

Taskbar where window is open: Buttons appear only on the monitor where the window is active.

After adjusting these settings, you can close the window.

Please let me know if this works for you. I'll do my best to respond as soon as possible.

Kind Regards,
Charity (Active hours 10PM~10AM GMT+08:00)

Thank you for the confirmation. Let's check for corrupted system files next. First, open Command Prompt as an administrator by right-clicking the Start button and selecting "Command Prompt (Admin)." In the Command Prompt window, type sfc /scannow and press Enter. Wait for the scan to complete; this process might take some time, and the tool will automatically attempt to fix any detected issues. Once the scan is finished, restart your computer.

Next, open Command Prompt as an administrator again. In the Command Prompt window, type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and press Enter. Wait for the process to complete, as it might also take some time to repair the Windows image. Once the DISM process is complete, restart your computer.

Please let me know if this works for you. I'll do my best to respond as soon as possible.
