No sound when connecting laptop to tv HDMI (locked on mute)

When I connect my laptop to my LG tv through HDMI there is no sound. The screen works and everything but my audio locks on mute. My laptop stays muted and there is no sound. I cannot unmute it and have tried troubleshooting it, it says that it is muted and tried to unmute it but that didn't work either. I had no previous issues with this. I tried connecting to the other HDMI but nothing. I tried various methods and nothing, control panel shows it as muted and it is enabled. I try unmuting it from there, nothing. The tv is on full volume and I checked the audio settings on the tv as well, everything there checked out.

Try this. It may not work.

Click on the speaker on the taskbar, if at the end of the title there is an ^ click on it and pick a different title.
