No device drivers were found (Windows 11 installation via USB error)

Hello! So, I wanted to install Windows 11 on my laptop which is unsupported by Windows 11 and it doesn't contain any other OS. So, I made a bootable USB with the help of another laptop. When I tried booting into the USB and tried installing Windows 11 on the laptop without OS, a window pops up saying 'A media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a DVD, USB or Hard disk driver. If you have a CD, DVD or USB flash drive with the driver on it, please insert it now. Note: If the installation media for Windows is in the DVD drive or on a USB drive, you can safely remove it for this step.'. So I pressed the 'OK' button and then, another window popped up saying 'No device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, then click OK.', I pressed 'OK' again, and I can't install Windows 11. I also tried changing my USB ports, still didn't work. Please help.

Hi Joy

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

That error usually indicates either the USB you are using is corrupt or the PC is not setup correctly for the installation.

Can I presume there is no data on the internal drive you need to keep?

Boot into BIOS, is that set to UEFI mode and is CSM and Secure Boot disabled?

Then start the installation

At the very start of the Installation Process, press Shift + F10, or Shift + Fn + F10 to open Command Prompt

Run this command and hit Enter:

diskpart

Run this command and hit Enter:

list disk
(Make note of the disk number you want to convert and enter it into the next command - replace X)

Run this command and hit Enter:

select disk X

Run this command and hit Enter:

clean

Run this command and hit Enter:

convert gpt

Then close Command Prompt and restart the installtion.

Hello! I don't have any data in the laptop. CSM and Secure Boot are disabled. My BIOS is also UEFI. I followed along steps, and it still didn't work.

Hi Joy

Okay, then most likely, that USB you are using is corrupt, the best option is to recreate that USB on another working PC.

I installed the.iso from Microsoft's official website, and my processor is AMD Ryzen 5 2500U.
