New Windows 10 Desktop doesn't recognise BTHomeHub 3 as connected

I Have a new desktop PC (Pacard Bell imedia) installed from the shop with Windows 10. I am trying to set up the home network via the "Network and Sharing Centre" Control Panel. When selecting "set up a new connection or network|setup a new network" I get the "choose your router" screen but it does not populate it with my BT HomeHub 3. I have spoken to BT who advise that there is a known issue with Windows 10. My desktop is connected to the router via Ethernet and I have an internet connection.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Rob

Thanks for the suggestions but neither of these have worked. The trouble shooter says that no problems were detected and the device  manager says that the latest drivers for  the network adapter (Realtek  PCIe GBE Family Controller) is up to date.

Any other suggestions or fixes would be useful - I have spoken to BT again and they assure me this is a known issue with Windows 10 and a technical fix should be available.

Thanks

Rob
