new computer not recognizing old printer

I'm trying to get my new HP Elite mini800G9 desktop to recognize my HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 and it's not. I have it connected via usb cable.

i've tried this.  Not sure if i'm doing something wrong, but it keeps telling me that my printer is offline and select another printer.

On the support page for your printer on the HP website, they only support that printer up to Windows 8.1, try downloading the Windows 8.1 drivers to see if they will install into Windows 10 correctly.

In that case, it may not be possible to get that old printer working because HP do not provide Windows 10/11 drivers for it.
