Need Help Reactivating Windows 10 Pro Key After Hardware Change

So I contacted support and got connected to some Indian woman I could barely understand. On top of that, she was not very helpful and said that my key had been activated multiple times and it is no longer valid and did not offer to help me after I told her I was the only one with the code and I had tried to re-type in the code to see if it would 'reactivate' itself. None of the troubleshooting worked

If you did not link your activation with your MS acct before the hardware upgrade, you might have to buy a new license. Also you must have had win 10 version 1607 or newer (1803 now) to have the option to upgrade hardware. It is explained here--
