My Windows 10 Pro Upgrade from v.14393 (1607) to v.15063 (1703) Fails for the 2nd time

Upgrading from v.14393 (1607) to v.15063 (1703) Fails for the 2nd time. Whats going on, is it because of my location (DAN) or my SSD, or a (secret C: drive on my system I'm not aware of)? See uploaded pictures. Any help is highly appreciated!

Thanks for the quick reply. I've made an ISO Windows10 CU 1703 Upgrade DVD disk for later, but how can I delete the "Missing, non-existent C-drive" on my computer?

Well well, I disabled System Restore on the "non-existent" C-drive and it vanished from the System Restore point Drives-list. Weird! I'll try the upgrade again from the ISO DVD-disc and will get you posted.

It's failed to install again for the 3rd time, Melchizedek Qui. Here are screenshots from the video I took during the installation. Thanks for your help in advance!

Thank you for sending us the screenshot of the issue. This error most likely caused by:

  • Incompatible antivirus or other security program or utility software

  • Incompatible driver or hardware

Here are some possible workarounds to resolve the issue:

  • Try to disable your antivirus software and Firewall temporarily when performing the upgrade.

Important Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • Removed any connected USB devices.
  • If the issue persists, we recommend that you run the System File Checker tool, it's a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files. Also, kindly consider running the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool, it's a command-line tool that is used to mount and service Windows images before deployment, this helps repair system damaged files.

Update us on the outcome.

Regards.

Thanks for the interest. I haven't try an upgrade after the fourth failure. I'll have to read more suggestions, and then try again... most probably tomorrow, May 30th. I'll definitely give you a nudge, whatever the outcome. Be keeping you posted, and thanks again!

I'm still scared to try my fifth upgrade. I can't stand another fail/error upgrading to v.15063 (1703). Thanks God, (1607) is still working. I haven't thrown the towel yet. and shall try upgrading in the near future. My SSD, I heard, can't tolerate too much unending reads/writes/deletes....!?!? Fingers crossed!
