my voice chat not working

hi, I have been having an issue on my laptop and i cant really either hear calls like google meet and anything, the sound goes very low quality(?) like kind of cracked and i cant hear the other sounds like youtube, fortnite, and valorant. but discord works fine. I also cant hear the game voice chats. Im pretty sure its one of the settings in the laptop but i cant hear the voice calls. thanks

and my mic is also not working. If anyone knows how to fix this, pls help

Firstly, Ensure your default output device is set correctly.
Go to Settings > System > Sound and select the correct output device.
Similarly, check your input device (microphone) settings in the same menu.

Secondly, open Device Manager, find your audio devices, right-click, and select Update driver. This can often resolve issues caused by outdated drivers.

Disable Audio Enhancements- Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar, select Sounds, go to the Playback tab, right-click your default device, choose Properties, and disable any audio enhancements under the Enhancements tab.

If the problem persists, Run Audio Troubleshooter
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters and run the Playing Audio troubleshooter.

Hi, i dont know what is the sound icon in the taskbar, like i cant identify it.
