My time zone/clock is 2 hours off

How do I fix the clock, I live in Central time US, but in order to have the correct time on the computer I have to use Pacific time US? assume I know basically nothing about computers, so any easy solution. ha.

Answer

Click on the time and date on the notification area (down right), then select "change time and date settings...". On the Date and Time window that pops up go to Internet Time tab. Click "Change settings" and then click "update now". Make sure the option "Synchronize with an internet time server" is active. If you get an error message select a different server from the list and click again "update now".

Also, make sure you've installed all Windows updates. Open the Control Panel, go to System and Security > Windows Update and click "search for updates". Install any updates if available and restart your PC.

Hope this solves it.
