Hi susmann
Welcome to the Microsoft Community
From your description, I understand that you are experiencing a taskbar search exception problem
Restart the Windows search service:
Press Win + R, type services.msc and press Enter.
Find “Windows Search” in the list, right click on it and select “Restart”.
Then restart your computer to see if the problem persists
Check for Windows updates:
Open Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update.
Check for available updates and install them.
Sometimes updates can fix unusual problems
Check your system and fix it
Open a command prompt as an administrator.
Type the following commands in order and press Enter after each command:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow
Wait for the scan to complete and it will automatically fix the detected problems.
Sometimes a corrupt profile can cause problems in this area, if the problem persists, try creating a new user profile to see if the problem is limited to the current profile.
In the Settings application on your Windows device, select > Other user accounts.
Under “Add another user”, select “Add account”.
To create a local account, select the “Add a user without a Microsoft account” option.
Follow the instructions to complete the account setup and set it to Administrator.
Switch to the newly created local account and test if the problem persists!
If there is no problem with the newly created local account, try to migrate the data to this new local account
