My screen turns red when I capture a screenshot.

My screen turns red when I capture a screenshot. How can I turn it off? I haven't changed any settings; yesterday it was fine. I tried using different snipping tools, and the regular PrtSc button. All red.

I have the night mode off, and everything else is regular.

To resolve this, I typed System configuration in Cortana, accessed the Services tab and unchecked all AMD and Lenovo boxes. Then I did a full restart.

It worked for me.

Note : I do not know which one of the two is responsbile, but I suspect Lenovo vantage to be behind it, as it has a night mode. It could also have to do with Windows animations.

Hi Wiki_768
I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. I am here to work with you on this problem.

Take actions related to Display Driver as the first level of troubleshooting
Windows Key+X > Click Device Manager > Expand Display Adapter > Right click on entry below >

A. Rollback the Driver
Click Properties > Go to Driver tab > If there is rollback option, click it

B. Update driver from manufacturer's website
Go to the website of the driver's manufacturer or computer's manufacturer > See if some driver is released for your model and OS > If yes, download that > In previous option, click Uninstall > Install the downloaded driver > Restart your computer

You will need to restart your computer after the above steps.

Edit - IF YOU HAVE LENOVO

This is a direct result of an update to the Lenovo Application named Lenovo Vantage and the Eye Care mode feature. See the following Lenovo documentation for resolution.

https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Vantage-Knowledge-Base/Screenshots-and-Snips-have-an-unnatural-orange-tint/ta-p/4522439

Do let me know if you require any further help on this. Will be glad to help you.

Best regards
Vijay Verma
