My Samsung Blu Ray player not detected by Windows 10

Hi,

after upgrading the operating system of my desktop PC from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 10 Pro (64 bit) my Samsung Blu Ray player stopped working since the new operating system doesn' detect it at all (not even if I manually search for new devices).

Please note that the player is working (I can open/close the tray by clicking the button of the player itself).

Could you please help me fixing this issue?

Thanks

Francesco

Answer

Hi,

Try the following:

Right-click the Start button > Command Prompt (Admin)

Then, at the command prompt type the following ( you can copy and paste) and press "Enter":

reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0" /f /v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001

Restart the computer.
