My PC is stuck on the logo screen

Few days I updated windows and since then my pc is stuck if I try to load an OS( Windows 11 or a Linux distro - Pop OS-). I tried to boot on Windows installation media and on a live usb on Windows PE but neither of these options work, the pc is stuck on the same screen.

I've also tried to boot on an usb Pop_OS installation media and I had acces to a screen to press try or install Pop OS. However as soon as I press this button, the screen goes black like when I boot on Pop_OS.

Additionally, I tried to go in windows' safe mode. However my laptop is stuck on the "preparing atomatic repair" screen ( it doesn't loop like on other ppl's pc, it is really stuck)

If you have any idea to help me it would be great.

I suspect the windows updated changed the graphics drivers however I didn't find any way to change them since I can't boot on windows PE live usb.

I have access to the UEFI

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

What logo screen is your PC stuck on, is that the PC manufacturers logo screen or the Windows logo screen?

1
If that is the PC manufacturers logo screen, boot your PC into BIOS, check the Boot Propriety list to ensure the Grub boot loader is set as the primary boot device.

2
If you can see the Windows logo, can you access the recovery environment using these steps?

Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.

So I can just see the manufacturer logo and I can't load into the Recovery environnement. I'm not sure about what do you mean by set grub as the primary boot device. I already tried to boot on both windows 11 and pop os and many linux usb installation media as well as the windows 11 one.

Can you describe more precisly what I should look for when you speak about grub

Usually to enter BIOS, when you start your PC and see the PC manufacturers logo screen, repeatedly press the F2 or Del key, then in BIOS, check the Boot tab to see what is set as the primary boot device, you should see the 'GRUB Boot loader' if your system is dual booted, ensure that is top of the Boot priority list, or if you see 'Windows Boot Manager', try setting that as the primary boot device, to see if your system will boot directly into Windows.

That is a strange BIOS, if you use the arrows to select 'Windows Boot Manager' press Enter, can you then move it to the top of the list?

I found the error code 0xc0000225 while testing some stuff, the problem seem to have occured because of the hard drive from what I search on internet, I think that my PC had shutdowned while updating itself. If you know how to fix this error, I'm glad to hear any advice. I just precise that I can't boot on any key, Linux distro or Windows installation media.

If you insert your bootable Windows USB and boot up your system, then on the manufacturers logo screen repeatedly press the F8 key, do you get the temporary boot menu and can you select the bootable Windows USB form there?
