My microsoft wifi direct virtual adapter#2 keeps turning off an on on its self and it's causing problem to my wireless 8822BE Wireless Lan 802.11ac PCI-E NIC

dear microsoft community,

I have an Asus tuf gaming fx505dd, i have it for a couple of years, this problem started around a month ago. every time i open my laptop my internet will work fine but after a while it keeps disconnecting i will have to restart 1-3 times to get it to work again. i may have found the cause of the problem, every time my internet disconnect i checked the device manager to see that my microsoft wifi direct virtual adapter #2 have a code 45, when its working the driver is not. I have tried disabling it, uninstalling it but it keeps coming back, i already set the projecting to this pc to always off but it still keeps coming back. Is there any way to stop this because it's really infuriating i cannot play or do anything.

Hi Hector slab ,

Go to Device Manager> Network Adapters, keep both Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapters temporarily disabled.

Then select your wireless network adapter, click on the Power Management tab, uncheck the checkbox: "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". Click on the Advanced tab and disable any options regarding energy saving. If the MIMO Power Save Mode option is present, try setting it to No SMPS. Try again.

Post a full screenshot of all available properties of your WiFi adapter.

If necessary, download and install the latest updated WiFi driver from your laptop manufacturer's website.

Can you confirm that both Microsoft WiFi Direct Virtual Adapters are disabled and that you have downloaded the latest updated WiFi driver from the laptop manufacturer's website? Does the problem still persist?

The properties of the wireless network card are very limited. Select Wireless Mode, expand the drop-down menu on the side, highlight the current setting and post the screenshot.
