My laptop is not letting me to remove PIN

I was using local administrator and then logged into my microsoft account, and it asked me to setup the pin. I did and now I can't remove it. The hello sign in requirement toggle is off but I still cannot remove the pin neither on microsoft account nor on the local host account.

Hi, Neha Lalwani

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

We understand that you are experiencing a problem with your computer not being able to remove your PIN.

By “The hello sign in requirement toggl”, do you mean “For added security, only allow Microsoft accounts on this device to sign in using Windows Hello sign-in (recommended)” under Sign-in Options?

Generally speaking, turning off this option will remove the PIN, so we suggest you try Signing out again or restarting the computer to see if the option to remove the PIN is available.

If it still doesn't work, you may need to consider factors such as group policy restrictions. Is your computer a personal device or a company/organization controlled device?

You can send us a screenshot of the PIN removal screen.

What is your system version? You can press Windows+R, type winver and send us a screenshot.

If the information is updated, you are welcome to contact us anytime.
