My computer's wifi is glitchy and refuses to connect properly, how can I fix it?

I've been able to run the troubleshooter, it says "your computer appears to be correctly configured but the device or resource is not responding". I've been able to connect to wifi but it's worse than usual and any other device is able to access and use wifi just fine.

Things I have tried: updating drivers, troubleshooting, reset network, disconnecting/reconnecting wifi, restarting computer

Let me know if other info is needed.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today, I usually reply from 10:00 pm EST(UTC -5) onwards.

I understand the issue you have, nothing to worry I am here to help, seems that there is an incompatibility with the Wi-Fi driver, moreover, kindly follow the steps below for us to sort out the issue:

-Press the Windows key + X
-Go to Device Manager
-Expand the Network Adapters
-Look for your Wi-Fi driver
-Right-click and click "Update Driver"
-Look for "Browse my computer for driver"
-Click "Let me pick drivers available drivers on my computer"
-Choose an old driver or other names of the driver then select it and hit next until it installs.

Note: If the issue persists, please download and install a Wi-Fi driver from your manufacturer's website and or update the BIOS with the help of the PC manufacturer.

Additional note: If the issue persists, I suggest contacting a local technician to physically check the device for any hardware-related issues.

Let me know how it goes and I hope that helps.

Bernard
