My Computer isn't reading my mini disc.

Hi William,
Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community.
As per the description, you are experiencing issue with system is not reading mini discs. When you insert the disc, you can hear the noise but nothing happens on the system.
I certainly understand your concern.
I would suggest you to try the following methods and check if it helps.
Method 1:
Open the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.
Note: If your computer is having problems with a recently installed device or other hardware, try using the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to fix the problem. It checks for common issues and makes sure that any new device or hardware attached to your computer was installed correctly.

If issue persists, follow method 2
Method 2:
Update the CD/DVD driver. Please follow the steps given below to update the display driver.

Click Start and go to Run.

In the Run prompt, type devmgmt.msc and then click OK.

Device Manager will open.
-
In Device Manager expand CD/DVD.
-
Right-click the CD/DVD driver and click Update Driver Software.
-
Select Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software.

- To ensure there are files in the discs, have you tried using another PC?
- Did you record the video using the same PC?
- Was the recording successful?
