Multiple user accounts created on the computer running Windows 10

Hi team,

For a few weeks I have been fighting Windows 10 trying to get the store to work.  I have tried lots of suggestions such as setting up a new admin account and trying a clean boot.

I saw a post which says there may be conflict with separate users which Microsoft are looking into.  I decided to see how many users I have.

This is my personal laptop and so used by me only. I only have 1 user account to log on when I turn on, however i have found these users which I cannot simply delete:

I have also got this information from system properties:

I thought my main user profile was gavin 000 but not sure.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks

Gavin

HI Deepika,

Thanks for the reply.

I have been using Windows 10 for about 9 months and so all modifications to users have been made under Windows 10 apart from: Home group user and Guest...these were both set up on Win 8.1 (modified way back in Jan 2015).  I think the home group was set up for an old printer we had so that all laptops in the house could print but don't use it now.

when I typed netplwiz there were 2 usernames came up...both using the same email address.  1 had a globe icon and the other a laptop screen (behind faces).  Both come up as administrators...does this make any sense ?

Regards

Gavin

Hi community the problem still exists but my attention being drawn to the fact I also cannot get the recent update to install...could the two be linked ?

I have tried a clean boot but this has not helped with either problem.

Regards

Gavin

I have today bitten the bullet and tried to reset Windows 10...with keeping my files.  It does 1% then comes up with an error, turns itself off and goes back to the sign in screen.

I am getting rather annoyed with it now.  I cannot use store or any of its apps, i cannot do update KB3172985 and this slows down turning on time to over 45 minutes.

Any suggestions greatfully received.

Kind regards

Gavin
