msiexec /Option <Required Parameter> [Optional Parameter] Windows Installer

I am not sure how this is happening but I recently purchased a laptop (month ago) and installed Windows 10. After a few weeks of using it I randomly get the Windows Installer pop up that says...

msiexec /Option <Required Parameter> [Optional Parameter]

...and so on.

What can I do to fix this issue? I am not sure what is going on..please help?!

Windows Installer keeps popping up about 6 times in a row out of nowhere randomly.- Original Title

Hi Paul,

Thank you for posting in Community.

We appreciate the information that you have provided as well as the time and effort that you have invested in to fix the issue.

I would suggest that you place your computer in Clean Boot and check if the issue persist. In the state of clean boot, Windows starts by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program. You may also troubleshoot or determine what conflict is causing the problem by performing a clean boot.

To troubleshot in Clean Boot, refer to the link below

Note:

1. In Windows 10 to open msconfig pop-up, open Run Command (Windows button+R) and in the dialog box type msconfig and hit Enter.

2. The Article for 8.1 also applies to Windows 10

Please go through the section:How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot of the Kb article to boot the computer in normal startup after fixing the issue.
