Answer

Just worked on this issue with an enterprise customer and found out there are many similar discussions.

Thought I might share the solution I found with the Internet. :P

PCHealthCheck.exe checks HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate registry key to verify if Intranet WU server (WSUS) has been defined for this PC. This is often defined in enterprise environments where devices are domain joined and intranet WSUS location has been defined/appointed.

When PCHealthCheck.exe sees below entries it will show "Your organization manages updates on this PC"

- \WindowsUpdate\AU\UseWUServer

- \WindowsUpdate\WUServer

Delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate this key only does not do the trick.

When PCHealthCheck.exe launches, it also caches Update Policy in below HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UpdatePolicy\GPCache\ key

So you need to delete \WindowsUpdate key from below all 3 locations.

Solution

reg delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate /f

reg delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UpdatePolicy\GPCache\CacheSet001\WindowsUpdate /f

reg delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UpdatePolicy\GPCache\CacheSet002\WindowsUpdate /f

Then run PCHealthCheck.exe again and do the scan, it will not show "Your organization manages updates on this PC"
