MS-DOS 5.0 CD-ROM Driver Needed

Anonymous

Hello!

I am trying to experiment with my laptop by trying out a slew of ancient Windows OS's, that either require MS-DOS, or don't. The experimentation is for educational purposes only, and to inform not only myself, but other people on what Windows was like before Windows XP. The question is, how do I make a driver with my CD from scratch?

Here are the specs of my experimentation PC:

Type: Laptop

Brand and Model: HP Compaq Presario CQ60

RAM: 2 GB

CPU: x64

Have you thought of creating a Virtual Machine to run these programs?

    To Greg and Pat:

Both are valid points; I could use a virtual machine, and I could use a .img file, but the problem with that is, I want to use a REAL machine, as listed above, and I don't have the SMARTDRV.EXE file to accomplish whatever the program does.
