Well, and after installing several more patches from Microsoft in October, the cursor blocking problem returned, as I described earlier. The only solution that temporarily "frees" the cursor is to run some installation program, so that a message appears warning that you want to run the installation program and allow you to make changes to the computer, Then the mouse cursor still flashes every 5 seconds for 1 second, signaling that the computer is busy, but the cursor is "interactive" and you can click system elements and applications. After a moment of inactivity, when the cursor is not being used, the problem of not being able to click system and application elements returns immediately. It looks as if some application (I'm betting on Norton Security which I have installed) is in conflict with some Windows elements (I'm betting on Windows 1022H2 KB5015684) that are being changed and installed as part of the patches, taking control of the "surface layer" of the Windows GUI, sort of like "glass" on the GUI. The computer again became completely unusable. Of course, I have always used antivirus, anti-pishing and anti-spyware programs, and I have already checked my computer many times for possible viruses and spyware.
