Missing sysedit.exe from System32 Folder for Windows 10

Greetings and Salutations -

As my subject says.. I am missing the sysedit.exe file from my System32 folder... let alone any other folder from my Windows 10.

I can't answer as to where it went.. or, if it was even installed at all.   All that I do know is that I don't have it..  Is there a way to

scan for it and/or get it (back).    I have tried the sfc/ scannow command, as well as Windows update, but to no avail.

Thank you for your time and understanding

Jay

Hi, Gambit. Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you, and I am here to work with you on this issue.

I did some research, and learned that sysedit.exe was discontinued with Windows Me, so it's not available on Windows 10. I've check multiples servers that I have running, and none of them have that

I hope this helps!

Kind regards,

I'm not going to disagree with what you had just said.. but, I came across this...

https://www.exefiles.com/en/exe/sysedit-exe/

Though not supported by Microsoft per say...  it suggests that you can get it for Windows 10, and earlier versions of windows..  though I haven't been able to get it to work.  it keeps telling me that it wont work for this version of windows and to check with the publisher.

I seem to remember getting it to work once..  but, maybe it's just my imagination..  Thanks anyway.
