Minecraft Won't Start Windows 10. Unable to Start Minecraft Runtime Enviroment. This is most likely Caused by a Corruption.

Hi,

Today when I tried to launch Minecraft, it said, "Unable to Start Minecraft Runtime Enviroment. This is most likely Caused by a Corruption. Try reinstalling Minecraft". I tried reinstalling it multiple times and it still said that. I deleted .Minecraft and it still didn't work. I tried Minecraft.exe and the installer version. This is very frustrating. Can someone tell me how to fix this. I am running Windows 10 if that helps.

Hello,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I request you to follow the below methods:

Method 1:

I request you to run the Windows app troubleshooter for Windows 10.

Follow the link below:

Run the troubleshooter for Windows apps

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/run-the-troubleshooter-for-windows-apps

Method 2:

I request you to perform system file checker. Follow the steps below which will help you:

  1. Press Windows key + X, click Command Prompt (Admin).
  2. In the Command Prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
    sfc /scannow

The sfc /scannow command will scan all protected system files, and replace corrupted files with a cached copy that is located in a compressed folder at %WinDir%\System32\dllcache.

You can follow the steps in the following article:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_other-system/system-file-check-sfc-scan-and-repair-system-files/bc609315-da1f-4775-812c-695b60477a93

I hope this helps you. If you have any further query in future, feel free to contact us. We will be happy to help you.

Thank you.

Hello, I did find this very helpful. But for the reason that I would ever run into any other problems. I have reinstalled, repaired, troubleshoot"ed?", and did the scan. None of which have seemed to help. I need help getting this easily accessible for me. The only thing that has really worked is using the alternative Minecraft launcher that I have found using a link on a different query about the same problem. I hope that you will be able to help me...
