Microsoft Streets & Trips 2006

After upgrading my computer from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate in November 2009, I loaded my Microsoft Works Suite 2006 (that came with my computer) and all programs worked fine including Streets & Trips 2006 (even better than in Vista which really pleased me).  When I went to use Streets & Trips the other day I received the following message, "Your registry settings for this application were not copied correctly.  To correct these settings, run Setup again for these applications from the location where you originallhy installed it."  I have done this several times.  I even uninstalled Streets & Trips and reinstalled it several times but I still get the same message.  It worked fine the last time I used it a couple of weeks ago, what went wrong?

Answer

When you reinstalled it did you try right-clicking on any Setup.exe on the CD and choosing the "Run As Administrator" option, if it is installed try the same option on the shortcut or actual .exe?

Have you tried the Compatibility Modes of Vista or XP on the Setup, exe or the installed program itself, to get it going?

As it was working a couple of weeks ago, System Restore might be worth a try.
