Microsoft has some really nonsensical security.

I recently had to change my phone number because the phone company I was going through turned out to be thieves. So I didn't get a lot of notice and had to change my phone number unfortunately. So when I try to sign into my Microsoft account because I hadn't signed in for a while they wanted phone verification. Well of course my phone couldn't verify because the number was changed. So even though I have the password I still have to wait 30 days for Microsoft to change my phone number. Now in the meantime I'm trying to log into my computer and I forgot my pin I select I forgot my pin put in my password and of course it says 30 days which I think we're down to about 15 16 now. I have never seen anything as convoluted and just retarded as this. I can actually log into my Microsoft account I just can't change any of the things I need to change. So what they just expect that I'm going to wait another 2 weeks before I can get on to my home computer that's sitting in my bedroom.

Hello.

Unfortunately with accounts being hacked more and more these days a lot of companies are doing this wait policy. Google account has similar wait policy too

This 30-day waiting policy is intended to protect users whose contact information has been changed by someone else so that they have enough time to reverse the change.

This is a security policy that no one can bypass unfortunately.

You can read about this policy here: https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/-....
