Microsoft gave me a virus?

So I downloaded an app from Google Chrome store that was made by Microsost, it was the app that allows one computer to control another. Well when I downloaded it my screen went blue and gave me an error sign and that I had to shut off my computer,  now everytime I go to login on my computer it does this. No idea why this is happening I'm on windows xp, my computer is completely useless and I'm rather annoyed so I really need help

Can you get into safe mode? Restart your computer and immediately start tapping F8, on your keyboard before the boot process reaches the welcome screen. If it fails to enter safe mode the first time, try again.

If you are successful in entering safe mode, use system restore to take your computer back to a time before you installed the app.

start in normal-mode,or start in cmd, enter xp as "Administrator",in xp open

cmd, type: services.msc  in msc, locate the unwanted service, double click on it,

select: disable  exit msc, restart pc  You could also, boot pc to xp installation cd,

press the r  key at xp menu,at recovery console, select 1 for C:  press enter for

password, type: LISTSVC  locate the unwanted, write down its service, exit,

type: DISABLE  write in the service
