Microsoft Edge not showing history

Concerning Microsoft Edge browser.

Why do I not have any browser history? This is very inconvenient. So where is it stored so I can access it directly? Explorer was(is) so much better in this regard.

You will see you're browsing history once you've visited sites. I have been visiting sites for weeks, but this is all that is there.

Hi,

To add to Deepak..Raghav good tips :

In Edge - upper right of page click the 3 horizontal lines - then click the clock
looking symbol which opens history OR CTRL + H.
(- on right in blue -> Clear all history.)

In Windows 10 you can run Edge or Internet Explorer 11 (Start Button -
All Apps - Windows Accessories - Internet Explorer ( and you can Right
Click on it and "Pin to taskbar" or "Pin to start").

(In IE11 - Safety - Delete browsing history (or ALT + S) - Delete browsing
history OR Ctrl + Shift + Del.)

Yes, the same here. I know how to open history, with GUI or keyboard (Ctrl key +H).
But it is just not there. Or sometimes it's there, sometimes it is not. I clicked the icons, but I don't see anything there.

Still no history of my browsing in history. Would be nice if edge worked. I may go back to explorer permanetly until Microsoft removes what works

Not sure why this works but it worked for me>>

Go to control panel and change you Internet Explorer default program from

Microsoft Edge to the normal Internet Explorer>>

Check the normal Internet Explorer to make sure history is being saved>>

Then change the default Internet Explorer back to Microsoft Edge>>

Worked for me>

You May have to reboot pc also.

Hope this helps.

I was getting the same.

Try to click on Clear History, then select Browsing History only.

Don't use Edge until done.

Once done History should start to fill as you browse the internet.

It worked for me. Hope works for you.

Your response was not helpful. There is a problem with Edge as several of the users below have pointed out.

History was working and then it stopped showing the history.

Then at times it shows it randomly.

Its keeping track of the history, but it's not showing it. The screen shot by one of the other participants on this thread shows it pretty clearly

This looks like a recently introduced bug. It only started happening a few days ago.

How do I (we) fix this? Its extremely irritating to say the least.

This worked, painful as it was. But it was only a temporary solution. After restarting Edge and seeing all of my history, within a couple of minutes the history disappeared again. Edge seems to have a serious bug. Too bad because otherwise its not a bad program.

Microsoft Edge obviously has a major bug.

When is Microsoft going to fix it?
