Microsoft Activation by Smartphone

Just tried the phone activation.  US Toll Free 1-888-725-1047

After saying No to be recorded or monitored, and after entering a code to prove I'm human, the automated voice offered to activate via my smartphone, and send me a text immediately.

Seems to be working fine here. 

Edited:  I also was able to successfully follow the link sent by text. 

              Note that this method does not work for MAC products.

It's possible, if you have been using the same link for a long time, that the link has changed and you need only request a new/updated link.

I will try it again this week.  Before I posted the message I and  co-worker tried calling the number on separate occasions and we did not get the option to send a text.  It took us right to the phone activation with no option for text.
