McAffee Spam Filter for Outlook email has stopped working

The spam filter had been working fine and then one day a window popped up on my screen that said something about a micosoft setting would need to be changed to allow the spam filter to continue working and then the window went away before I could copy down what file.  I have contacted McAffee support for this and they told me it was a Microsoft issue and they could not help me.  I have completely unistalled McAfee and used the removal tool and reinstalled and the spam folder is still not catching any emails.  I have paid for the spam filter product from McAfee but yet I am not getting the use out of what I have paid for, incredibly frustrated with all of the spam I am getting everyday. 
McAffee Support will always lay the blame elsewhere, even though their popup told you the problem. And, you didn't even bother to say what the MS setting was.

In any event, McAffee is more trouble then it's worth. And, with lousy customer support, you should drop it fast.
