Hi Brennan,

Thank you so much for posting your query on this forum. You have reached the right place and I will try my best to assist you with this issue.

The D3D11.dll is a file related to the DirectX installed on the computer. This issue could be due to some corruption with the DirectX software or the graphics card drivers on the computer.

I understand that you had already run the SFC Scan to check for the system file corruption and it was unable to fix and replace some of the corrupted files. So, did you try running the SFC Scan again on the computer? If not, I would suggest you to run the SFC Scan for multiple times and check if it is able to fix the corruption.

To analyze the “CBS.log” manually and to figure out and replace the corrupted files, you may refer to the section “For more information” from the article given below:

Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files

Also refer to the article: How to analyze the log file entries that the Microsoft Windows Resource Checker (SFC.exe) program generates in Windows Vista

If the issue still persists, then try the troubleshooting methods given below:

Method 1: Diagnosing basic problems with DirectX

Let us run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and check if that provides any information regarding this issue. Please refer to the article given below, follow the instructions given in it and check if that helps.

Check the troubleshooting report and share the details with us. You may also try the suggestions given by the troubleshooter and check if that resolves the issue. If that doesn’t help, then try the next method.

Method 3: Uninstall and Reinstall the latest Graphics Card Drivers

This issue could also be due to the corrupted or out dated graphics card drivers on the computer. So, follow these steps to uninstall and reinstall the latest graphics card drivers and check if that resolves the issue.

Step 1: Uninstall the Device Drivers

a) Press “Windows Logo” + “R” keys on the keyboard, type “devmgmt.msc” in the “Run” command window and press “ENTER”.

b) In the “Device Manager” window, search for the Graphics Card device from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers from the computer.

d) Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and the restart the computer if prompted.

After the restart, please open the Device Manager again and then click on the “Scan for hardware changes” button. Check if Windows 7 detects the Graphics Card device and installs an appropriate driver automatically. If the issue still persists, then try the next step.

Step 2: Update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly

Refer to the article given below and follow the instructions given in it to update the drivers for the Graphics Card on the computer.
