Mail login.

Hi.

I use a windows computer at work and there's a mail app installed in it. I signed into my personal email on this and obviously I don't want to be kept signed in. So I deleted my account from the device. (see figure1)

I then click add account, (figure 2) and to my surprise, my account is saved onto the system even after I deleted my account off this device.

With this, I can re-log into my account without needing a password. Now, this is alarming for me as I don't recall a box asking if my password could be saved.

How do I remove my account so that I cannot re-login?

Thank you for your response

Hello!

I'm your Independent Advisor for today. Let's figure this out and come up with a solution.

Were you using a Microsoft account email address to log in to the computer prior to using the Mail app? If so, then the Mail app will detect that Microsoft account and display it as one of the email addresses you can sync to it.

You can reset the Mail app with these steps to delete app data:
1. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features
2. Locate "Mail and Calendar" and click "Advanced options".
3. Scroll down to Reset and click the "Reset" button.

Hope this helps.

Hi

No, I wasn't using a Microsoft account email address to log in to the computer prior to using the Mail app

I see. Unlink your Microsoft account from the computer first:
1. Go to Settings > Accounts > Your info
2. Click on "Sign in with a local account instead".
3. Follow the onscreen prompts. You'll logged out after switching to a local account. Sign back in afterwards.

Then follow the steps above to reset your Mail app.

Please keep me posted.
