Hi,

thanks for replying.

My PC model: Acer Aspire XC-605, 100% brand, no any 'self-modifications'.

I did come through suggested steps. At step 4 I got following message from the Troubleshooter on Windows Store Apps:

"Problem found: Microsoft account required"

However there is no any ways to solve the problem, at least I can't see any possible actions.

Sound strange, I thought that if I'm logged to my PC with MS account, the latter one is available.

Hi Vital,

Thanks for replying to us with the status of your issue.

To assist you better, I like to know; the account on which you are logged in, is it a Microsoft account or local account?

As an initial step, I suggest you to try logging in to your computer using Microsoft account and check if it helps.

If the issue persists, after logging in to your computer through Microsoft account then I suggest you to try running Power shell command and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

1) Press Windows key + x key and Select Command prompt (Admin).

2) Type the following commands.

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Hope it helps, reply to us with the status of your issue. We will be happy to assist you.

Hi,

the account I'm logged in to my PC is Microsoft account; I can use Store application and can install applications from the Store.

I did run Power Shell and copy/pasted there your suggested commands. Commands did something, no any visible errors. However nothing has changed after that:

1) I still can't run Mail or Calendar

2) Both applications are installed, according to the status in Store application

Just a notice that I can run Mail and Calendar applications from my Windows 10 tablet, where I'm using the same Microsoft account.

I will appreciate any further suggestions.

Thank you!

Br,

Vitali

Hello,

thanks for suggestions!

Results are both: positive and negative.

Positive:

PowerShell command from above did remove Mail and Calendar: (i) I can't see them anymore in StartMenu, (ii) can't find them from Search

Negative:

Store application said that Mail and Calendar are installed and I can find these apps in All Apps list:

Needless to say that I don't have neither Mail nor Calendar in my All Apps. I did even reboot the PC but it did not help.

Could it be something wrong with Store and my MS account in particular? /E.g. Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter keeps telling that 'You need a Microsoft account to sync your settings'

Vitali

Hi Santosh,

thanks for the patience!

Method 1 did found the same thing:

After I've pressed 'Close' button on the last screen, nothing has changed in respect to the problem.

Method 2: WSreset.exe was working silently about ~1 min, then the Store Application has been started. Mail and Calendar do have 'Installed' status.

Best regards,

Vitali
