Login loop when adding a Microsoft account

Hi, I tried to add a Microsoft account but it kept looping. Here is the situation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pkP_1WTy8Y.

I've tried restarting my laptop, removing the PIN, creating new account, scanning sfc, turning on the "Require sign-in with Windows Hello for Microsoft accounts" option, and even reinstalling Windows 10 but none of them worked. My Windows 10 is up to date with the latest version.

Hi, I'm Elise, and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

Do you have any VPN or internet security software installed? If so could you first try to disable this?
Could you also check if you are able to login to this Microsoft account via your browser?

Kind Regards,
Elise

I've already disabled the VPN software. I can login to the account on the browser but cannot on Windows or Microsoft apps.

I am wondering if the issue is with Windows Hello, could you try to disable it following these steps:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

Then reboot the PC before trying to add the account again?

I did all the steps but Windows Hello still popped up. Is there any other solution that I can do?

I see if says this is managed by an organisation, is this a school or work pc?

If not you may have a school or work account logged in which is causing issues, if you can remove this first it may help

I'd next suggest doing a repair upgrade:

Hello,

I'm running into the exact same problem. When I try to add an account to my PC, I get stuck in an infinite login loop. Similarly, I can't log into Xbox due to the same issue.

This issue happened to me first roughly 2 months ago. I couldn't find any help online so I ended fully resetting my PC after several futile attempts to reinstall Windows 11. It fixed the issue, but as of yesterday I am running into it again. I don't want to reset my computer again, so I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help.
