Lock screen password change

I really need to change the password on my lock screen! all the articles and tries, and all I've changed is my Microsoft account password. This really could not be that hard is it? I have a windows 10 laptop, with 64 bit operating system

Hi,

Thank you for the update. Since the link provided did not work, let's try another workaround. Follow the methods below on how to change lock screen password:

Method 1: Using Ctrl + Alt + Delete

  1. Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE simultaneously.
  2. Select Change a password.
  3. Type your old password.
  4. Type your new desired password and re-type to confirm it.
  5. Press Enter.

Method 2: From Settings

  1. Click Windows key.
  2. On the left side, click the account icon.

    3.Select Sign-in options.

    4. Start setting or changing the password, PIN, or picture password.

After doing so, try signing out then signing in again using your new password.

We have found my hard drive is also going out, so i am going to fix that and after that I should not need to do anything except reload my windows 10 and then set the computer up the way I want it. Thanks for everybody's input
